Yes, other sports in India are not as popular as Cricket. India is a cricket crazy country. You can’t find a single sport in India, which could boast of being even in contest with cricket when it comes to popularity and revenue generation. It does not mean cricket subdues other sports.
Cricket has more followers and a big entertainer when compared to other sports. All the credit goes to a private board called BCCI. They know how to market the game, they get money from cricket and spend money to popularize it. You cannot expect Microsoft to do marketing for Apple.
Same way you cannot expect BCCI to Market other sports. If possible try to take a leaf out of the BCCI’s book and strengthen their respective sports. If you cannot do that, then please stop blaming cricket for that.

Do you remember what we spent? We gave our tax money to Suresh Kalmadi. He engulfed crores of money and gave pea nuts to the athletes. Can you compare them with BCCI?
